COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, the oldest of the three Rochefort Trappist beers, has the reddish colour of autumn leaves, a soft body and an earthy, herbal palate (a hint of Darjeeling tea), which develops into a deep fruitiness.

Ciemno bursztynowe z czerwonymi przeblyskami piwo z dosc ladna i wysoka piana, ktora niestety bardzo szybko sie redukuje. Aromat glownie kwasne, ciemne owoce a la wisnie, czeresnie + rodzynki + alkohol. Czuc tez klasztorne drozdze, po ogrzaniu dodatkowo cos a la slodkie, kandyzowane figi i jakies bardzo delikatne ziolowe nuty. Generalnie dosc dublowy aromat.

Warm nose and good looking beer in the glass. moderate head, rich brown color. Rich tastes of malt, raisin, toffee. don’t notice the alcohol, so very smooth and yummy. Overall, just a really good beer to drink. Depth and complexity without being over the top ... could definitely drink more than one.

Smoothe beer with no strong alcohol taste. Pleasant aroma. Nice color too. Buy buy buy. I want more! !!!!! Love it.

0,33 bottle purchased at the Skopje Beer Shop (RIP) and consumed in Kosovo. BB 09/2018, so I guess the beer has been bottle in 2013 (over 1 year old). Pours a typical amber color, a bit cloudy with a very gassy and persistent ivory head which stays there. Nose: mild candy fruit, spices. Mouth: session beer feel for a 7,5% Belgian Strong Ale, easy drinking, dry end with a spicy body and a mild fruity aroma. Candy orange a bit of coriander. A very nice brew.

Pours a cloudy brown-amber; cloudier if sediment added, as I did. Lovely lasting tan head, towering at first, but settles to a nice creamy top coat. T - complex and superbly balanced. Lacking the dark fruit flavor of a standard BSDA, this beer features a lighter fruitiness, lighter color and lighter aroma than usual for BSDA, but that’s not to be held against this beer which makes no such claims about style. M - perfect carbonation. Light-medium body. O - I had high expectations, based on my love of Rochefort 8. My high expectations were surpassed, although I believe I like the R8 better and I more eager than ever to try it, and the 6, again

Bottle @ home. Pours cloudy dark amber with some sediment and an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are caramel, dried fruit, sugar, and yeast - with a slightly dry finish.
