COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, the oldest of the three Rochefort Trappist beers, has the reddish colour of autumn leaves, a soft body and an earthy, herbal palate (a hint of Darjeeling tea), which develops into a deep fruitiness.

33 cl bottle split two ways. Murky light brown pour with a frothy small head that fades fairly quick. Nose has yeast, brown sugar and some floral notes. Taste has again yeast, syrup, raisins, figs and some herbal notes.

Aroma: malt and wegetables soup, no fruits, no belgian typical stuff :/ color cloudy brown not bad head low bitterness, very malty in taste without sweetness, sourness, fruits... dont know what this beer is about besides those wegetables in aroma :/

In a Rochefort goblet ..Kinda like "Rochefort light" ...This number 6 is a good session style dark Belgian . Raisin ,bread, milk chocolate , boozy , complex nose . Khaki head that subsides into a brown liquid gloop ... Hey , look its a bitter rich beer that despite lacking the boost of its big brothers , is still flavoursome ... The family personality traits are there. Good shit.

Heerlijk fruitig biertje. Wat donker maar een heerlijke donkere smaak wat perfect bij de herfst past.

Bottle. Hazy rust coloured red with a moderately lasting bubbly off white head. Earthy aroma, some forest fruits, strawberry, vanilla. Taste is of forest fruits, orange, hints of tomato and red pepper too. Medium to high carbonation, smooth mouthfeel.

Wow, just noticed a month ago that I had never rated this. Vegetables, cooked cabbage, also sweet with fizz. Bottle from Nap in Woerden

Bottle from Auchan. Pours golden with average head. Sweet smell with aromas of caramel, chocolate, coffee, herbs and banana. Taste is similar, great mouthfeel, perfect carbonation, pleasantly sweet but still refreshing. Nice one.

Bottle. Hazy amber-brown with a huge beige head. Smell of dried fruits, nuts, caramel and candy. Sweet, dominated by malty and fruity flavors of prunes, raisins, caramel, yeast, spices. Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Relatively easy drinking. Decent.

Amber orange colour. Very fruity and caramel taste, but not overly sweet except for the aftertaste.

330 ml pour from room-temperature bottle into tulip glass. Red-orange and fairly opaque. Huge fully, bubbly head. Great retention and lots of lacing. Fruity, caramel, and biscuit. Full bodied. Very nice mouthfeel. Taste is dark fruit, some deep caramel sweetness, creamy maltiness, some plum. A flavorful and layer beer. Delicious.

Bottiglia. Un bel colore ambrato, torbido, con schiuma abbondante non particolarmente persistente. Veramente una buona birra, dal sapore appagante. Apprezzabili note di caramello e frutta (tra cui anche banana). Buona carbonatazione, alcol ben ammortizzato.
