The lower gravity cousin to Rochefort 10. Nicknamed "Spťciale" (íThe Specialí), this beer is the most recent production. The Rochefort 8 has a more tawny colour and a more pronounced aroma, with an even richer fruitiness (a slight undertone of fig?) and a little more spiced dryness, like that of a cake, which gives a balanced finish to the final notes.

Great beer Iíve ever tasted. Iíve got 5 month bottle and it was nice, with enough bitterness and really soft taste with some vine aromas and long complex aftertaste..

Classic from the country, still remains a great beer, even if it is a little more difficult to drink more than one with time (or should I say age). Maybe the mix alcohol and sugar. Anyway, still a great reference when in doubt.

Bottle. Caramel color, same goes for the foam head. Aroma: roasted malts, bubblegum, chocolate, stale basement funk. Taste: sweet chocolate and caramel, whole wheat, slightly sour development. Slightly sticky aftertaste.

Very dark brown colour with compact head. Aroma of dark malts, caramel, raisins, dark fruits. The same is the taste with little presence of herbs. Alcohol is notable but is also very well hidden. Overall Very good and complex beer, but for me still not in the same rang with Stuisse masterpieces.

Ciekawy aromat, alkoholowy, trochę karmelowy. Ciemne, nieprzejrzyste. Piany praktycznie brak.

Despite the rave reviews, there was something about it I didnít like; Maybe I should try again.

Bottle, all the time. This is my absoute favorite beer in the world and whatís best about it, itís easily available where I live. The aroma is great, the appearance is brown, sparkling, the taste is heavy, but without the alcohol taste from the 12. As I stated, this is my absolute number 1.

Bottle. Dark brown color with thick light brown head. Aroma has yeast, raisin, caramel and plums. Taste is first little sweet but ends with a long quite bitter, a bit sour and dry aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, toffee, coffee, spices, plums, ripe fruits and some alcohol warmth.

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, reddish brown with a small beige head. Sweet fruity aroma of berries, plums, dried fruit, spice and yeast. Sweet flavour of dried fruit, plums, liquorice, spice, caramel and yeast with a dry, warming alcohol finish. Quite complex. Full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Excellent.

Bottle at Brussels Hilton. Slight sour nose. Cloudy dark brown beer with solid off-white head which stays. Really tingly mouthfeel, quite fun. Taste is sour followed by deep dark malts. Alcohol notes all over the palate. Caramel becomes apparent as it warms. Complex sipping material, but not my favourite style.
