2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First of all, let me say I think the heat might have got to this in storage (brought in Japan) as it doesnít taste quite as I remember it from Belgium, but still good. Very effervescent with only a little on the nose, head soon dissipating. A distinct almond taste that I hadnít noticed before joining the alcohol. Iíll re-review before long, but have to say, this is a little disappointing, and I canít get excited about it.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle 0,33L. Murky, mahagony brown colour with nice creamy, light brown head. Aroma of nuts, caramel and dark fruits. Taste starts light sweet with very dense mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Aftertaste became moderate bitter and long lasting. Very good, full bodied creamy beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
A lot of different dark flavors in the smell and taste in this one. Just under being too strong I think. One I would like again.

This is how you spell almost perfect trappist beer, not too soft not too strong, with a good and lasting aftertaste, gets better every time you try it, more complex than other trappist and thick without being sticky.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brown turbid ale with strong aroma as for a malty beer. I liked this beer for itís spicy-n-fruity aftertaste and thick foam. Really good as for 9.2%

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 So, I finally got around writ the review for this, after few years of "tasting". Well the body is murky dirty brown with medium weak just slightly of white head. The aroma is pretty complex with array of different flavors, berries, malts, strawberries and oranges. Palate is medium full-bodied, carbonated and somewhat crispy but also flat on finish. Taste is sweet , dry, winy with ABV kicking in in the middle. All in all decent Trappist, but slightly unbalanced and rather rough-edged, also not so complex. Still very good.
