3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 dolemite77 (184) - Maryville, Tennessee, USA - APR 30, 2008
Bottle, pours a dark brown with a nice tan head that lasts. Aroma of dark chocolate covered raisins. Flavors are big and complex as you can imagine... my biggest strike against it was the mouthfeel... seems over carbonated... had a bite to it that didn’t come from the alcohol... the alcohol comes through on the end, but it’s not a bad alcohol bite... the bite on the front end was bad for me. A big step down from the 10.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 trapez (1443) - Hilleroed, DENMARK - OCT 18, 2008
Bottle. Aroma almost like wine with grapes, raisins and a bit of dark chocolate. Clear dark redbrown colour with nice soft beige head. Flavour very equivalent to the aroma and sweet. Rich carbonation. Well balanced.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 roebuck (45) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 30, 2009
Brought back a bottle from Belgium. Pours with a thick white head that disolves quickly. Looks chololate brown, almost like a dark iced-tea. Has a rich caramel / alcholo smell about it. I can taste caramel flavors, hints of chololate, has an addition hint of musty or something old, but in a good way. Perhaps not too unlike an ESB?? Good beer, but I don’t think it’s a 100 rating.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DeadGirl (478) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 6, 2010
This beer pours a sedimenty, opaque amberish-brown with clearish edges and topped with a creamy, resilient khaki head from the 330ml. bottle bought at BevMo (and yeah, I saved mo, errbud loves a deal). Fo sho! Aroma of earthy spices: coriander, cumin, cardamon, and some nutmeg, day-old bready yeast, brown sugar, figs, plums, and other dark pitted fruits, molasses, and alcohol. An unexpected hoppy taste up front that lasts for just a second, followed by spicy yeast, lots of malts, gingerbread, and plums soaked in pure alcohol overnight. Velvety, carbonated, tangy, boozy. Drinkability: Not my particular style, but complex and fairly exceptional. Pairing: Steamed mussels. Rebuy: Probably not. #441 on 06052010, DG.

Pours a amber color beer with a big white frothy head. It was hard to define aroma. It smelled watery. The tast is medium sweet. Something I don't always like but it fits just fine in this beer. Complex taste. Really astringent.
It has a lively carbo. Medium body and a sticky and dry texture. Good one.
