Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Feb 19, 2001 clear amber colour, few foam, cherry and plum aroma, too sweet, aftertaste quite brief
Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Jul 19, 2008 Courtesy of Fonefan. It’s a dark, red mahogany color and the head is dense. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, raisin and other dried fruits. The flavour has sweetness, notes of raisin and other dried, dark fruits, candy sugar, caramel, malt and in spite of the 10% there is very little alcohol in the flavour. A pleasant beer to sip. oberabcbbsok (682), Hoboken, Belgium Jun 27, 2008 A very nice beer, only to bad it is no longer available. Full bodied and a sweet touch ekstedt (1800), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 7, 2007 Bottle (vintage 2002) from hildigöltur’s beer cellar (thanks!). Deep hazy mahogny with a minimal off-white head. Nutty, fruity, slightly roasted aroma with wooden notes. Soft mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very well balanced, the 10 % alcohol are remarkably well hidden. rickgordon (3061), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 4, 2007 Bottled. 2002. Thanks ekstedt. ’
Dark brown colour with moderate head. Tidbits, caramel and dried fruits in aroma. Rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, toast malts and tidbits with slight chocolatey edge. Medium-full body. Bit sweet, but not overly in my opinion. tupalev (2299), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 7, 2007 Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy. Dark brown, small white head. Nice nutty, plum pudding aroma. Sweet nutty taste. Roast, toast, spicy - quite complex. A great sipper, thanks R.
