Bottle at Goodfellow’s, Mackinaw Island, Michigan, poured a deep black , no head. Nose is chocolate , malt and coffee. Taste is chocolate, with hints of vanilla, and sweetened nicely. Finish is sweet as well, and ends on the same tasting notes. Quaff Score 8 / 10

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A dark pour from a pint sized can produces a frothy tan head on top that leaves minimal lacing while drinking. The aroma consists of toasted oats, creamy caramel, and chocolate. This isn’t as lactic or creamy as I was expecting. Zippy carbonation, with a body that seems a shade thin. The flavors are decent but unexciting: chocolate, some roasted malt, a little sweet lactic flavor (although I was looking for this), and light coffee grounds enter the mix. Easy to drink with no major flaws, but very forgettable too.

July 3, 2013 - can shared by Joe. Dark brown pour with limited head. Chocolate and cocoa in the aroma and taste. Little bit of lactose in there as well to give this a thin milkshake type experience.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Big can from Oxford beer store. Nose is malt and sweet toffee. Somewhat thin for a milk stout but still smooth. Bitter coffee notes overpower the cocoa which is ok with me. Limited milk and lactose sweetness which is disappointing. This isn't a great milk stout and I was hoping for more.

Draft from a somewhat local establishment. Dark in color, with thin tan head. Smell was slightly sweet. Smooth, creamy/milky taste with cocoa. Finish was of bitter coffee. Very drinkable, but would like it better without the finish.
