This stout is not as bitter as the Sacri-licious Stout. It is brewed with milk sugar(lactose) to impart a fuller body and sweeter palate.

Very good milk stout. Good balance and robustness of dark/roasted malt, cocoa nib and lactose flavors, and very smooth to drink.

Light canít penetrate this almost black pour, nice brown head fades fast. Aroma of chocolate, a hint of coffee. This tastes of cocoa and a coffee. Thick, creamy Southfield and a very smooth finish. Low ABV makes this very drinkable. This was a souvenir from a Michigan weekend road trip. Shouldaí bought some more, really enjoyed this one!

Tap...nice creamy cocoa flavor with a touch of sweetness. Easy drinking and one of the better RM offerings.

Very dark. Not a huge aroma, but nice chocolate and roasty, bit of coffee. Mellow finish, almost thin. Slight tartness from lactose, mayne.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, cocoa and lactose. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee and hint of licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at Hop Cat, Ann Arbor. Just south of black, with a small dense beige head. The aroma is roasted, with coffee, some vanilla and molasses. A bit plain I think, and a tad weak. Itís quite sweet on the palate, full bodied and with a nice carbonation. Dry, roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and some vanilla and molasses in the flavor. Lasting finish. Nice, yes it is, but it lacks character I think. 150615

From a can the look of this borders on a 5, nicely done without a widget. Fairly friendly gentle stout aroma. Head fades. Feel is hollow at times. Smooth going and easy, could have less of an apparent alky personality. Roasty stout personality. Hope nobody thinks this is going to taste anything like a milkshake, heheh.

The taste is a chocolaty caramel. Real easy beer to swallow and settles well in the stomach. I donít know where the "Milkshake" comes from because it taste nothing like a milkshake. The name is not important because this is a top notch stout.

Large sample pour of deep brown to black with full khaki head. Nose is roasted malts and sweet caramel notes with lighter sugars. Flavor is smooth caramel and milky sweetness. Lactose qualities grow as it opens. Roast and malt presence more than anything. Itís pretty decently made.

Can: Dark brown, nearly black with a creamy, swindling beige head on top. Looks a touch thin. Aroma packed with milky chocolate, mostly sweet with a hint of roasted malts in the background. Light coffee with dry undertones to blunt the sweetness towards the finish. Mouth feel is slightly thin, but still retains a moderately creamy essence which is nice. Almost silky. Flavors of sweet bakerís chocolate, roasted malt, toasted nuts, & a good bit of coffee. Not black coffee, more like "heavy cream & sugar" type coffee. Creamy milky chocolate finish with a slight roasty bitter twinge for balance. Far from cloying, actually quite drinkable. Tasty stuff.
