Combination of citrusy and spicy flavors supported by a soft malt character, a low alcohol presence and tart sourness. Low peppery yeast-derived phenols are present in addition to spice additions. Hop flavor is low to moderate, and is spicy in character. Malt character is light but provides a sufficient background for the other flavors. A refreshing, medium to strong ale with a distinctive yellow-orange color, highly carbonated, well hopped, and dry with a quenching acidity.

Pours a murky golden yellow with a slight, quickly disappearing white head. The aroma is faint, a touch of tropical and citrus fruits. The flavor is dominated by tropical fruit, perhaps mango, along with a touch of lemony citrus and a decent dose of spicy pepper to finish off. I was pretty impressed with this one. I’m not sure it is actually a saison, as the brewery says it is - it lacks any carbonation and has a heavier body feel than I would associate with the style - but I could be wrong. Whatever it is, it’s nicely done.
