On tap at the pub. Pours out amber topped with a small sand head. Nose is malty caramel and some floral hops..taste is more of the caramel malts and floral hop.

Mixed pack bought in Vermont. Pours a clean amber colour with a fizzy head that does not stay long. A small ring is left because of the heavy carbonation. Aroma of caramel malts with decent hops. Hints of nuts. A lot of the same for the taste, but watered down. Hoppy finish with mild bitterness. An average red ale. Sandlike residue at the bottom. Not sure if normal.

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a soft hazy burnt amber color with a slight transparency about it. Soft carbonation rises at a moderate pace. Thereís no head nor lacing. The smell had a strong nutty to caramel maltiness overlaying a rich toffee blend. Light cocoa backs it up decently. The flavor is basically the same with a lingering sweet nutty aftertaste leading to a dry nutty finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly smooth. A nice rolling nuttiness scampers over my tongue in a dry fashion. Overall, itís a decent American Red ale. Everything fits for the style, itís just nothing over the top.

Decent red. Has a caramel aroma with some bread and a hint of fruit. The flavor has the caramel and a bit of the fruit. Fairly well balance, dry and refreshing.

Tap. A little malt up front but dominated by roasted flavors that didnít blend very well. It was drinkable, but I didnít care for the flavor.

Pours a dark amber with a light tan head. Aroma of bright orange citrusy hops surrounded by a syrupy malt backbone. Taste is only subtly sweet at the start. Quickly taken over by a nutty roasted flavor accented by a note of hazelnut. Worth a sixer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Yeasty aroma. Pours out dark copper with an off-white frothy head. A slightly better than average taste with slightly better than average hop characteristics. I would drink again if it wasnít dry on the back end.
