Bottled. A hazy red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, nuts, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, malt, metal, and nuts, leading to a dry, bitter, and metallic finish.

A reddish copper ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, nutty malt with light coffee notes. In mouth, a decent roasted malt with light herbal notes, light coffee, a bit of British hopping, medium bodied. Not bad.

12oz bottle. Nothing great here. Pours amber and looks OK but not much on taste. Somewhat bland with off flavors I canít quite put a description to. I do taste the hops but they too seem off - maybe too many different kinds. Itís just OK.

From a variety pack of bottles brought back by a friend who went home to VT for a visit - pours a deep amber with a thin white head and decent lacing. Very malty aroma with some spice and woody aromas. Taste is malty with some roastiness. Drinkable - wish I could say more.

Pours a clear reddish-brown with thin off-white head. Mild aroma with sweet caramel malt. Flavor is sweet with a hint of smokiness. Mouthfeel is thin and fizzy. Goes down well with bar food, but not something Iíd want as a standalone for a beer tasting.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2009 Red with an orange tinge. Clear but tons of carbonation. Light layer of foam. The smell is an earthy, bitter amber malt. The foundation of a smooth red but with a surprising hop addition. Excellent smell. The taste is a heavy burnt malt dominating. The hops are but a spicy accent, although they get more woody with warmth. It finishes on the roasted bitter side. Charcoal/cigarette ash finish. The feel is smooth but also bubbly. An average red ale with a little something extra.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Sweet malty with hints of oats and yes sadly paper. A bit of toasted malt and a light note of floral hops. Eh.
