Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Sweet malty with hints of oats and yes sadly paper. A bit of toasted malt and a light note of floral hops. Eh.

Bottle -- Poured deep, woody and red with a big creamy-foam head. The aroma hints at chocolate and coffee, interestingly. Indeed this drinks like a firm Irish red, full of flavors like coffee and chocolate, with a sweet finish. If this had a little more body, it would be much better. Perfect side for an Irish stew or some bangers and mash. (#3113, 9/30/2007)

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, and bitter hops. Poured red with hints of deep orange, deep amber, and ruby in color, with a medium-sized, dense, tan head that diminished quickly but left a thin film. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Full of tiny particles. Lightly sweet flavor. Tastes of malts, toasting, and resinous hops. Medium body. Thin, watery, then chalky texture. Average carbonation. Malty, chalky, thin finish. Not very tasty. Very thin.

Deep clear reddish orange, medium lasting head, lacing. Minimal caramel/woody aroma, hint of smoke. Poor flavor, thin, bit of nice smoky sugar at the end, but overall bitter w/o being hoppy, thin and watery.

Pours a deep reddish brown amber with an average foamy/creamy light tan head that left lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee, very malty with light hop notes. Flavor was also malty and had this copper/metallic thing going on. Also getting some toasted malts, nuts and agai some hints of hops but not much. Not sure what the metallic is all about.

12 oz brown bottle courtesy of jjpm74, thanks dude! In the description, the nick name for this beer is Super Glide. As the owner of a super glide I am intrigued. Pop the lid and you get a whiff of berries, that fades into a yeasty beery aroma. Color is darker brown with light orange hints and tinge. The initial flavor is good beer impact. With the first taste I wanted to say it was hoppy, but it is not. A complex evolution of flavors takes place with this brew. Has a roastyness to it like no other. Impressive yet not overwhelming. Though I can’t definitely say it is fruit, there is some interesting, quite different appeal to this. An earthy friendship abounds. After a while, a light building to medium, bitterness begins to appear on the back of the palate. I think while I drink this I get the feeling that the winds of Kokopelli are blowing thru my hair while I ride my Harley around the northeast US. Finish is a rather distant relationship with some sassiness. Mild to medium malty lingering bitterness is noticeable for a few moments after the last swallow. Thanks John, this was quite an experience. An amber ale almost as mild as Grolsch Amber Ale and much better than the oppressive bitterness of Mendocino Red Tail Ale

There are four types of hops and seven USA grains in this bad boy. Note the rating when I say "bad". Extremely malty finish. Nothing else.

12 oz bottle from a variety 12 pack purchased at Spirits RB. Pours a deep clear red brown with a small bubbly off white head. Malt heavy aroma, caramel, slight chocolate, brown bread, slight touch of cinnamon. This one feels thin on the begining of the sip but as you swallow seems a little more average bodied on the back of your throat, average carbonation Flavor has a slight touch of sourness followed by caramel, toffee, malts and toast. I was expecting a total dud a la Star Wars episode I but got something actually palatable a la Star Wars episode III.

Brownish red, aroma is bitter raisins and a soysauce character. Sweet maltyness predominates. Hint of buttery sweetness. Thin and one dimensional. Hardly any bitterness, watery feeling.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 9/2/12

Aroma: The nose is sweet malts, caramel, roasted malts, bread, and light fruity notes
Appearance: This beer pours a clear caramel-orange color with a small white head and no lace
Flavor: The taste is light-medium sweet, with most;y caramel and bread notes, and lightly bitter finish
Palate: The body is light and feels fairly watery, with a dull, tingly mouthfeel, and a dry, metallic finish
Overall Impression: I wasn’t at all impressed by this one. Though the beer as a whole wasn’t exciting, I found the mouthfeel to be the weakest part.
