2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Courtesy of some fine Rate Beerian whom I have forgotten.
Second beer I have had this session with an "old sneakers and socks" aroma. Rich and deep amber with a quickly diminishing head. Flavor is a bit tobacco-tinged int he fore followed by ample malts, but nothing pulls anything together.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
NICE LOOKING RED AMBER THAT IS DARK AS CHERRIES. also keeps a slight beige head. good aroma and a nice body with an interesting bitter flavor of hops wood and quality malt. this beer may or may not work well with a slight uptake on the flavor volume. this beer has a good body quality carbonation and is mildly fruity. a tough beer to rate as it is between average and good.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This isn’t a bad amber ale, but it isn’t a great one, either. This beer pours a dark ruby red color with a small, tan head. Even though there isn’t much of a head on this beer, it does leave a generous lacing around the glass. The aroma is mostly of malt, with notes of caramel, brown sugar and a hint of flowery hops. The body is medium in strength and allows for easy drinking. The flavors are fairly balanced, with a nice mix of rich maltiness and bitter hops. The hops are especially noted toward the finish. There also seemed to be subtle hints of roasted coffee or chocolate in the body as well. The finish was a little bitter with some grassy notes. Like I mentioned at the start, this is a good amber ale, but not a great one. It’s drinkable and enjoyable, but I’m not sure I’d order another at a bar or pub.
