COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this one because we just can’t get enough of those hops. IPA’s seem to be a great choice any time of the year. They have a great malt flavor and hop profile, just what a beer connoisseur is looking for. We decided to give this one a bit more hops. Try this with a strong cheese like a very sharp cheddar, cloth bound, aged if you can find one.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2015 Out of the bomber and into my snifter, it poured a beautiful hazy orange and left the same color body. A half centimeter white foamy head concaves gently into the body. The smell had rich fruity notes up front with hops backing it up very strong. Malts were more subdued. The taste was pretty much the same. The palate was about a medium with some slight sharpness on the tongue. At 8% for the ABV, the alcohol was fairly hidden well which lead to fairly sessionable beer. Overall, this would be a hop forward double IPA, I liked it more the second time I had it.

From the 650 ml. bottle. A cloudy copper-amber pour under a moderate cream colored head. The aroma is of roasted malts but more so the resin, and floral hops. The body is medium to better. The alcohol sneaks up on me. Or maybe it is because I had a light lunch. Roasted malts and modest bitterness to finish. Smooth.

Au nez, houblons épicés, herbacés et un cote sucré est présent. En bouche, c'est amer, beau grain et sucré aussi. La finale est moyennement longue, amère et assez sucrée. L'alcool est bien dissimulée. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear orange, med white head. Aroma is earthy hop, caramel, citrus, pine, bready malt, mineral. Flavor is caramel, med sweet, lasting bitter pine. Sort of musty, earthy.

Dark tan pour with a modest head. The label is leafy and attractive. An excellent aroma cheers the nostrils - full and sweet, with flowers and pine. The taste is mostly dry, with a grapefruit peel taste standing out the most. Very good.

Bottle. Poured a orange amber with a small off white creamy head. Aroma of caramel, fruit, earth, citrus and some sweetness. A pretty well balanced and tasty version of the style. Good caramel base with some grapefruit, earth, other citrus and sugar. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. Better than the other IPAs of last night.

Brought back bottle from Bennington VT, a good value at 5.99 for a bomber. Cloudy orange with thick head, off white. Caramel, chewy palate Very nice taste and smoothness. Nose is nice, sweet, fruity. Average.

This one is for strong bitterness lovers. If you’re looking for complexity, it is not for you.....L’olfactif présente des conifères, des agrumes et des fruits tropicaux.

Hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, and maybe a little strawberry. Flavor starts very sweet for an IPA, then finishes with some fruity bitterness. Not as complex as a lot of the double IPAs out there, but still a fine beer.

This one poured a darkish orange with just a bit of golden hue. A moderate head of tan foam that fell slowly and left lace. Nose is faded a bit but still lovely. Citrus and floral hops. Softly bready malt with a touch of brown sugar on it. A ripe orange and some earthy grapefruit peel. Light pine on the nose. Taste follows the nose. The citrus is bountiful and juicy. The grapefruit comes forward as the beer warms and so does the malt. Medium - light mouthfeel which tells me that if this beer has faded off it was once near west coast IPA style of malt. Light earthy pine some woodiness and this drinks very well. The bitter is perfectly acceptable to the fruitiness in the beer. It does not exceed the other flavors but it does last a bit into the aftertaste and pleasantly I might add. A soft bit of caramel is creeping onto the palate as it warms making it drink a bit heavier as it does warm. It’s good. With a freshness date on the bottle, it may have been very good but because there isn’t one, I rated what was in my glass.
