3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From 10/23 notes. On draught at the brewery. Pours dark black-brown with small head. Nose is dried apple, apricot, cola, fruity, plum. Mouthfeel is rich, malty, smooth. Taste is raisin, plum, fruity, black cherry, subtle spices. Finish is creamy, dark fruit, berries. Pumpkin is very, very subtle in this. Probably the best beer with the word "pumpkin" in the name that Iíve had. Nicely done.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice coffee colored pour with a bit of off-white sudsy head. Interesting aroma with a mix of roast malt and spice (probably the spruce). Lighter bodied than expected but quite flavorful...roasty, some pumpkin-squash notes, and light spruce spiciness. An interesting beer; nice for a fall day.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pitch black with a thumb of head. Molasses, roast and spruce in the aroma. There is a faint hint of pumpkin while im drinking this, but getting more roast, liquorice, cola. Spruce comes through toward the end. Medium to full body. Kind of lousy as a pumpkin beer but pretty awesome as a spruce beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Doesnt take of pumpkin at all. Decent chocolate malty flavor with hints of spice. Not a bad fall beer but if your looking for pumkin flavor look elsewhere

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From the 22 fl. oz. bottle dated July 19. Not quite sure what that means. The pour is jet black with a large, foamy beige head. The aroma is of dark malts, roasted chocolate, spruce, and only a hint of pumpkin. The body is bold and creamy. The taste is just warm and balanced with all of the expected notes from a good stout and a milder IPA. Nothing quite like this one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Prepare yourself. This is unlike any fall or Octoberfest beer you will ever try. Light on pumpkin and other flavors, this uses spruce and an imperial stout style to attack. Great aromas and character at the finish but not for everyone. If you want different get this!
