georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA Apr 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a nice off white head with good glass retention. The aroma is sweet maltiness. The taste is bock like with honey and hoppy bite. The palate is refreshing with a bit of a bite. acearl (175), Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 6, 2008 Much better than a 42%...Brownish Tangerine cloudy hue with creamy egg shell head, sweet malted barley odor, light molassas and grain, 8% alcohol is well hidden, nice flavor, low fruit/hop, very drinkable. maniac (2022), Richmond, Virginia, USA Mar 29, 2008 Richmond Industry Gathering 2007. Dark brown body with a light tan head. Huge molassas and acaramel aroma. Molassas and caramel flavor. JF_GRIND (1216), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 27, 2008 Picked up a bottle in Central Joisey for under four bucks. Stong alcohol dominates over the bitterness. Reminds me of a Euro Lager which does not make Hell’s Bock flavor unique. holdenn (1160), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 19, 2008 22 oz bottle thanks to drewbeerme for this sample. Pours clear orange with a fluffy white head. Grainy malts in the nose with citrus and yeast. Grains and citrus flavors are lightly sweet with so much of that tanic grainy notes and a hop fiinish of faded hops. This beer is EXTREME! Extremely bad.
