Orange, amber with white lacing. Mighty spicy full-bodied hop flavor; big palette and slightly dry. Really good, will drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep burnt copper coloured body with a two centimetre tall off-white head and more loose sediment than iíve ever seen in a beer before - this one is a pure colloid. Aroma of bright grassy and herbal hops with a hint of grapefruit, a decent amount of yeast and some light sugars noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and grapefruity hops with a very mild and perhaps light malt backbone, more of a single IPA than double, for sure. Aftertaste has the grassy and lightly herbal hops with a little malt, some sweetness and not much else - no depth nor complexity. Overall, more of a single IPA (which is fine by me), but still lacking in depth and malt backbone with no complexity at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 28-May-2012 for US$5.55 sampled at home in Washington on 14-October-2012.

Pours a light brown with rocky off white †head. Pulp makes it appear to be apple cider. Aroma of apples and yeast. Tastes of hop notes of pine and fruit. Strong delayed malt presence that is buttery and rich. Bitterness reemerges from the creamy caramel malt and follows into the aftertaste. Butter flavor is what stands out about this IPA.

Amber pour, good sized white head. Pine, Grapefruit in the aroma, some caramel sweetness as well. Lots of Pine up front, Grapefruit, Lemon rind, caramel malt. Medium body, fairly good carbonation. Not a world beater by any stretch but a solid IIPA. Off topic - I wish this brewery would challenge itself a bit more.

22oz bottle in a styrofoam cup. Pours copper with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy hops, a little light fruits, and some caramel malts. Flavor the same, with some fruitiness. Average texture. A decent beer, but not the best of its style.

Bomber courtesy of some on a BA. Translucent amber capped by small off white head with fair retention. Nose is inviting with caramel over pine and grapefruit. Bitter is the taste, overly bitter with little malt coming through. Pine lingers in the mouth. A bit watery feeling the the mouth.

On tap at Rock art 2 finger crystal clear head. SRM of 4. Light gold and orange appearance. Smell is great hop backbone. Citra and amarillo. Taste is gigantic. Lots of Hops. Dominating the glass entirely. Heavy body. No balance.

22oz bottle picked up from the brewery. Pours a lightly hazed, deeper orange-gold colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is floral hops with strong grapefruits and some pines. A light bready caramel malt backing. Flavor is similar. Lots of florals and grapefruits with a good amount of pines and a slightly bready, lightly sweetened caramel malt balance. A touch of toast towards the end with some resins as this finishes dry and fairly bitter with a light malt sweetness. Lengthy, grapefruit floral aftertaste following a smooth, medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty straightforward, but enjoyable DIPA. Lots of floral grapefruits and pines with a bit of a bready caramel malt backing. Not bad.

Pours clear amber with a nice lasting lace head.Nose is caramel malts, light herbs, and bright and floral citrus. Flavor really brings out intense herbal citrus and caramel. strong lingering bitterness. sweet and bitter finish. This one was less than impressive. Too bitter, too much caramel, and too much herbal hop aroma and flavor.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/9/12

Aroma: This one has a fairly subtle nose, with some malty notes, earth, and some grass
Appearance: Pours a dark orange-caramel color with a half finger of white head and no lace
Flavor: It has some light malt sweetness thatís dominated by a medium-heavy earth/grass hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, with a bit of a slickness, some on the mouth, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: This one will serve as my 2100th rating, so thatís kind of a milestone (I guess). Anyway, the hops here are certainly assertive. Perhaps it could have used a little more balancing malts, but I wonít fault them for attempting a assertively hopped beer. Still though, this one just didnít seem to have any of those big citrus, pine, or resin hop notes that I usually enjoy in this style. The hops are certainly anything but missing, but they are less aromatic and more just straight bitter then I tend to prefer from this style. This was a good attempt at a IIPA, but it didnít quite succeed.
