VTHopHead (640), Barre, Vermont, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bomber - Poured a darkish amber in color with a small off white head that faded to a thin rim around the glass. Aroma was not strong, but did have a somewhat flowery or herbal presence to it. Flavor was also not particularly strong. Has an OK pale ale as the basis, but anything related to "jasmine" seem to be absent. A drinkable beer, but nothing that unusual/remarkable. josarah (53), Hinesburg, Vermont, USA May 17, 2008 22oz bottle at Flatbread, clean amber beer with just enough jasmine to know it’s there. I found it to be somewhat refreshing and perhaps best paired with deserts. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Mar 29, 2008 22 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (March 2008), sampled a little below cellar temperature from a Unibroue glass. A moderate to largish creamy off-white head forms above the pale translucent-near opaque amber body, fading quickly and leaving a touch of faint lacing....floral notes in the aroma are obvious but not particularly powerful, not dominating but instead mixing interestingly with some cedary woods and light citric hints....the body is a touch woody as well, moderately sweet with hints of burnt sugars, lightly bitter and tart throught and growing somewhat hard and mineralic, and more strongly tart to finish....hops are muted, the woody hardness perhaps more the product of the flowers....interesting and drinkable, but not entirely successful.
