Vermont Hop Harvest Ale is a celebration of fresh hops grown locally as part of an exciting renewal of hop farming in Vermont. These new hop fields are reminiscent of earlier days when the majority of domestic hops were grown here in the Northeast. This wonderful pale ale explodes a delicious hop aroma and such a fresh taste that you might feel as if you are enjoying a pint on one of the many new Vermont hop farms. It offers a tasty malt body wrap in the citrusiness of the hops. Open it up and enjoy this seasonal brew that has been both dry and "wet" hopped to highlight the Cascade variety hop. Pair this with fall specials such as corn on the cob, a spicy fresh chopped salsa with veggies from your local farmers market. Youíll find that a hoppy beer will pair well with spicy foods, full flavored cheeses like cheddar or blue, and nothing beats grilling with a cool Vermont Hop Harvest Ale in your hand. Enjoy,

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy burnt golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head dissipated immediately. There wasnít any lacing at all. The smell started off with a sweet pine allowing some citrus to slide in to balance. Caramel backbone plays a delicate part allowing a sweet aroma. The taste was moderately sweet carrying a dry bitterness to clam up my tongue a bit. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. Bitterness is there yet dry on my tongue. Overall, I donít mind it but itís nothing over the top.

Bomber thanks to Nick. Opaque peach/orange color with a decent off white head and lacing. Smell is grapefruit and bready malt. Taste follows but with a bit of melon to go along with it. Kinda strange. Slightly sticky mouth feel. Decent but I think this is slightly old.
