On tap at KOP Rock bottom. Served in a Pint glass. Pours with only about a finger of light head and no lacing. Smell is of faint hops and not much else. Taste is of medium bitter hops, mainly pine and a little orange, brown sugar, molasses and toast. The balance between the hops and malt was great. Neither were too strong, meaning both flavors were mild compared to an East Coast IPA such as 90 min where both the malt and the hops are powerful. I really liked this beer and hopefully it will make it to the pub’s regular rotation.

Draught at Brewpub: Aroma of toasting, light malts, Amarillo hops, slight cocoa, and a hint of caramel. Poured deep amber/brown in color with a small, tan, creamy, head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of Amarillo hops, hops, light chocolate, light malts, slight toasting, slight caramel, and and a hint of nuts. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, light to medium bitter, Amarillo and slight cocoa finish. Served way too cold. "Hoppy Newcastle."

Pours a deep brown with amber notes and a medium creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of nice orangey hop notes, chocolate malt, toasted notes, light coffee and nuts. Flavor of piney and grapefruit hops, nuts, toasted malt, roasted malt, bitterness kind of bites the tongue and comes across almost like a roasted bitter.
