On draft at Rock Bottom Arlington. Deep black pour, short head. Faint aroma, but roasted coffee and malt, some hops, and a hint of vanilla. Kind of a watered down taste. But milk chocolaty, along with roasted coffee notes. Alcohol is masked well. An OK stout, but worth the try.

Setting: Served in a sample cup at the Michael Jackson Beer tasting held at RFDs. Appearance: Jet black with a dark brown head, very short lived. A ring of bubbles was left at the edge of the "glass." No lacing was left either. Aroma: Rich, coffee, vanilla, and oaky overtones lying atop some bountiful malt goodness. Slightly buttery and toffee-like aromas lurking around, too, but not overpowering. Flavor: Rich and buttery with vanilla highlights. Dark milk chocolate cocoa flavors. Slightly oaky aftertastes. Nummilicious. Palate: Thick, chewy, righteously hearty. Good gawd, yall. Overall: Ok, so I pimped myself to the brewer to get another sample glass, thats how stellar this stuff is. Its a dessert beer in every sense of the word. Why have anything else after this? Marginalia: Sleepy Hollow Imperial Stout aged in Jim Beam barrels. Apparently only 2 barrels of this stuff was made. Grab it while you can. This brewer has now moved to a Rock Bottom location in California.

Dark, dark black. Looks very thick and viscous, but was surprisingly watery and thin. Have no idea how this was accomplished, but would like to know so I can tell people not to do it again. Usual chocolate and coffee flavors. Not a good IS.

Thick dark black with no head. The taste is creamy-to-water choclate and alcohol. Still on cask, but it seems to be very light and weak.

Pitch black and oily with no real head. Chocolate coffee aroma some alcohol noticeable. Flavor is about the same as the aroma but the beer really falls flat on its face. Body is watery yet med-full. What gives?

Motor oil body, no head. Aroma is chococoffee, sweet and rich, light alcohol. Taste is chococoffee, but sadly lacking in richness. Watery, medium-full body. Oh so disappointing.
