kmweaver (2010), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Dec 13, 2006 Tap at RFD for Winter Holidaze Extravaganzee. Golden appearance with a reddish tint; white head, strong lacing. Pleasant aroma: yeasty, slightly citrusy, orange peel. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: belgian sugar, hints of spice, coriander, dried fruit. Long, sweet finish: sugar and spice.
KUEric (560), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Dec 16, 2007 Draft: Clear light yellowy-golden ale with minimal head and carbonation. Spicy notes throughout and apple/fruit flavors are the two most dominant flavors. It is a touch too sweet for my liking, but it is definitely worth trying. hopscotch (4482), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Dec 18, 2006 Draft... Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Tangy, spicy aroma with the appropriate esters and phenols of a tripel. The fruity flavor leans a bit on the sweet side of balance. Moderately bitter and lightly pungent. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Finishes fruity and bitter. Quality beer, but I don’t tend to like tripels. BuckNaked (1195), Tempe, Arizona, USA Dec 17, 2005 Draught: Clear pale amber body with a small off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet with notes of clove, orange rind, light ginger, bread, and faint bubblegum. Taste is sweet, but definitely not overly so for the style, sugary dough, mild orange zest, lightly spicy ginger, and a touch of herbal hops. Medium bodied, moderate-medium carbonation, sticky at times in a good way. Love to try this one unfiltered. argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA Dec 16, 2005 Clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, bubblegum, clove. Taste is moderately sweet, bubblegum, candi sugar, some alcohol, clove, light orange. Medium-full body with some stickiness and low carbonation.
