Some spicy notes. Good citric grip in the flavour. Strong gooseberry leaf character. A very decent, serviceable IPA - no blockbuster but nicely pungent and refreshing. More West Coast than East Coast in style.

I don’t go out of my way to find or drink them, but I will always try one in a sampler. I actually had a few of these. Russo (633), Campinas, Brazil

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2008 Draught at Rock Bottom Boston. I really wasn’t particularly thrilled with this one. Although it might just be the hops shortage taking its toll, this beer, like a lot of IPAs that I’ve tasted lately has just an enormous raw hops taste, not smooth, it was like drinking grass. It still gets a pretty good rating as I’m rather partial to hops flavor anyways, but I would greatly prefer a beer that with a much smoother hops bitterness. wcampbell (584), Central, South Carolina, USA

It is still a little watery though. Grapefruit hops dominate the flavor. Kind of fizzy and carbonated, lacking in malts. Went well with the meal though.
