stegosaurus (1883), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 24, 2007 Sampled @ Rock Bottom in Boston. Pours amber/copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet and caramel malt. The flavor is salso slightly sweet, caramel, and watery. second brew here of the night, and things were not going well. Mad_Indian (825), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 23, 2007 Sampled with Stegosaurus during our second Boston Tour. Served at Rock Bottom.
Amber pour. Caramel hints in the aroma. Weak in taste. There is a guy in the brewing area acting like a scientist but I tell you it has got to be an act, because their beers are so thin and watery and lack any imagination. Steg and I thought it was colored water with mild beer presence. Maybe their tap lines were screwed up. beaconstreet (810), Washington DC, USA Oct 10, 2004 Billed as the "Soxtoberfest" beer in celebration of the October baseball returning to Boston in their pennant/World Series race this fall. Nice fantastic color, deep and alluring, attractive to the eye. Smells spicy and joyous. Caramel alcohol taste--yum! After sipping, growled because I wanted a growler of this stuff. Nice palate. Alcohol sub-note. Felt more incredible drinking this in solidarity and celebration the day after the Sox won admission to the 2004 ALCS. (Sipped the root beer again after sipping this--so good, bliss...) GeniusGirl (221), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Oct 9, 2004 tap. the boston rock bottom’s tasty tribute to the beloved Red Sox! the color of a sexy brunette with a great spring break tan, aroma of light pumpkin and nutmeg... soooo good.... yum.
