Tap. Ok brew to suck on before a Checkers/Bobcats game. Service was slow and food was average, so the beer was the best part.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Onenote81 (1002) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 30, 2012
Had at the brewpub on 9/22/10. Reviewed from notes.
Poured a dark amber/orange with a thick finger-width creamy beige head on top. Great lacing. The nose was floral, citrusy, with notes of toffee and roasted malts. Moderately full mouth with good carbonation. Smooth finish. Decent bitterness, but not over the top. True to the English style. Good sweet balance with some toffee and graham. Chalky on the back end, which was a little distasteful. Decent enough beer. I could have a pint or two.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jsmerig (798) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Pours a deep clear copper. Aroma of malt. Taste is malt forward with a sharp bite of bitter hops in the finish. Citrusy is a good descriptor. Interesting malt blend.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bubbleflubber (1423) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - JUL 11, 2011
On draught at brewery. Amber pour accompanied by head that leaves sparse lacing. A combination of florals and yeast doughy sours in the nose. Some flavors of English bitters, tea and metals (very ESB-like), finishing with lingering roses and a bitter back. The body is lighter than I would have expected. The mouthfeel is cleansing for the heat, with plenty of active carbonation. A little underbalanced and thin for an IPA.

I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. I’ve had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh.
Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment.

Poured at Charlotte Rock Bottom. A reddish/brown color. The Hop flavor was less than I was expecting. Pleasant amount of hops but not a "true" IPA. Good beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 freekyp (1412) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - JUL 3, 2009
Run of the mill IPA. Fuggles lent a floral aroma and slightly tingling hop finish. Malts were understated, but the beer does have a nice soft pillowy mouthfeel. Hops character felt muted.
