Source: Brewpub, Charlotte
very dark ruby red, fine tan head, lots of lace, nice light chocolate aroma, creamy body, rich chocolate flavor, perfect sweetness to bring out the chocolate,
base ported with smoked hickory chips in the cask, light smokey aroma, nice woody flavor with a bit of the smoke, dries out the chocolate quite a bit

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the Charlotte restaurant -- hmm, first one to rate this in a year. The beer is almost black with ruby tings. Some lacing with a touch of chocolate aroma and malt. Minimum roast taste. Below average porter.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Best Ever. Since the beginning of time, in the caveman days, there has never been a beverage of this magnitude, or attitude. It screams casual, yet wispers classy.

Charlotte, NC. I guess they thought they could use an abnormal amount of hops for a porter to hide the fact that this beer was virtually flavorless. Very bland and watery beyond the massive hop presence at the front.
