May 2, 2005 On tap at the Maproom and brewed by Rock Bottom brewmaster Crawley: Amber hue with reddish notes, small but lasting head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of Belgian candi sugar, cardamom, clove, apricot, currant, wildflowers, and yeasty esters. The taste starts quite fruity with sugary overtones. A tad too sweet but not overpowering. A nice eathy backbone and some lingering bitterness. The feel is oily and sticky. A good brew but needs a little more.
