3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice mellow dark copper brown pour, good haze, lighter edges witha decent offwhite frothy head that dies to a thick film, laces ok. Aromas are sweet caramel, toffee, toasty bread, and touches of floral hops. Initial is lighter bodied, with sweet caramel, toffee, toast, and mellow breads. Some floral hops, a touch of lemon. Finish is sweet crisp malts, toffee and toast, bready malts. A touch of florals and lemon provide a light hopping. Fairly malty overall, but goes down easy enough (that’s what she said). An ok palatable sessioner, crisp sweet malts take centerstage. An ok sessioner I guess, a bit heavy on the malt profile for me, personally.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the pub. This to me is what a good Red ale should have going on. Nose is malty and a touch floral, some citric notes. Taste is pretty robust, more roasty character coming through than crystal, clean bitterness. A very nice drinking Irish Ale. Tasty.

I was hoping for a little more out of this beer. Pours amber with a thin off white head. Not much of an aroma, a little sweet caramel. The flavor was the same with some caramel flavor. I thought it was a little thin.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
copper color, light tan head, a little lacing. wheaty smell, trace of banana. the banana continues in the taste through to a watery banana finish. overall, is that your beer, or are you drinking a banana?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at RB - Chicago. Poured clear, lighter orange with a very creamy cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet toasty caramel and lighter fruit with a light touch of smoke.. very well-balanced. The flavor was sweet, dry, and toasty, showcasing caramel and redder fruits.. crisp, dry leafy bitterness surrounded.. short, tasty finish. A tad shy of medium-bodied on the palate.. dry and well-done!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It pours a bright reddish-orange with a tall, rocky head that thickly laces the glass as you drink. The aroma is caramel malts and gentle piney hopping. It’s slightly flat and has smooth grainy malt flavors with a nice hop balance. This is session stuff.
Since I’ve learned from Rock Bottom’s corporate office that there is no such animal as a "corporate recipe," I’m deleting my old rating and returning this one where it belongs.
