This straw-colored Lager is brewed with Pilsen malt to create an easy drinking beer with a crisp and clean finish. A small portion of Mt. Hood hops lend a subtle spicy hop character to this perfect introduction to handcrafted beer.

Draught at the brewpub
Light blond color. Very light Lager, but brewed with skills and scoring above the averge in its category, for being balanced, with light but nice aromatic hopping, crispy.

Draft sample at RB - Chicago. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate grainy and small hop aroma. Light body with a thin texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of moderate duration. Worth having once.

hopscotch (9550) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 21, 2008
Draft… DLD’08… Crystal clear, straw-colored lager with a small, creamy, white, everlasting head. The aroma provides earthy notes of "still-warm" pilsner mash along with subtle notes of spicy hops and whispers of toffee and acetaldehyde. Medium-bodied with crisp carbonation. Moderately sweet with very low bitterness… almost inoffensive except for the acetaldehyde. Certainly bland. Finishes moderately sweet with only a hint of bitterness.

Pale straw colour. White head. Very, very pale. The nose is lean and light. There is an odd nose of chlorine in here that I could certainly do without. Despite how light it is, it’s oddly dirty and not all that pleasant. Meh.

2009-09-26. Crisp pale yellow, small white head. Mild aroma, muted yeast, florals. 4+ Flavour is quite light, muted floral and yeast, mild muted pale malts. Average palate. Ok for what it is. Briefly convinced our table mate that she was drinking Coors Light... Nuff said. On tap at Rock Bottom Chicago

On tap at the Chicago location. You don’t really need to know much about this beer apart from the name pale, clean and inconsequential. Nothing to offend but nothing much to comment on either. Does what it is intended to do, so its difficult to be too harsh.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2007 Tap at R.B. Chicago. Poured an extremely light golden with a whirt white head. Weak, but pleasant aroma of sweet malts and light floral hops. Smooth and malt-based flavor with faint floral hops. Light bitterness around the edges... crisp and smooth. Mild honey showed up on the finish, too. Smooth, light, and easy drinkin’.

Notes from the Yorktown location (02/07)
Clear bright golden with a moderate cap of white head and some lacing. Dry light bready notes in the aroma along with grains, pale malts, and a hint of lemon. Light and refreshing flavor of sweet pale malts, a hint of lemon, and weak floral bitterness.. touch of caramel sweetness. Light-bodied with higher carbonation and a decent feel.
Same exact scores as my Chicago location rating.

Part of a sampler at the brewpub. Palest lemony yellow, clear, skimpy head that leaves white rings. Sweet grainy aroma, faint apple. Light crackery malt, grainy, hints of ginger in the finish.
