2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2005 A decent enough pils, pouring a golden body with good, steady carbonation an a creamy head that laced the glass in sheets. It’s got a mild grassy aroma with some decent floral hopping on top. Fairly light-bodied, the sweet malt body is nicely complemented by the snappy floral hop bitterness in the finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Yellow, almost golden, with a lime-green aura and topped by a white film and ring. Light, floral hop aroma with minute hints of solvent. Moderately acidic flavor with a hint of lime and a dry finish. I appreciated their Line Drive Light a little more.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Lightly cloudy yellow in color. Small head with excellent lacing. Aroma is light, with hay and other wet grains most prevalent, along with a hint of nuttiness and flowery resin. Light dough and grainy flavor. Moderately creamy in texture, with a metallic and slightly chalky finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden body with a small head that quickly disappears be still leaves nice lacing. Nice aromatic pilsenser nose with the hops coming through in a strong way. A little bit of grain and some grass thrown in for the hell of it. The body is what you would expect from a pilsener, not exactly thick, but certainly not weak or boring. The hop character really comes through in the nose, almost to the point of knocking the malt out completely. Perhaps a bit more classic than some American Pilseners, but adequately hopped and quite pleasing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft, on the RB Chicago rooftop. Well, back in America, and I gotta say nothing beats coming home to a good handcrafted brewpub beer. This seems like one of the "India Pale" variations on basic styles that’s getting popular, and it’s done very well. A very nice pilsner body hids a big taste of the usual IPA suspects, Cascade and Centennial. Could even be a little Northern Brewer in there, but what the heck do I know, I sure ain’t no BJCP graduate. All in all, a great lunchtime beer!
