COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Get your mind out of the gutter! This hugely flavorful British standard is named for the always important Rubgy position, the hooker. The unfortunately named hooker is the big guy in the middle who is most important in the scrum.

Copper with a small head. The aroma is quite nice. Some mellow caramel and biscuit malts, along with some dank English hops. The flavor is similar, also very tasty. Really well done all around.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a nice combination of pine and citrus with a bit of toast underlying. Flavor has a nice combination with citrus, grapefruit and grass with toast underlying.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a richly carbonated mellow glowing amber hue, touches of orange, rich cakey offwhite head settles atop, laces well. Sticks around. Aromas are a good kick of earthy floral hops, gentle bready malts, kick of toast, a touch resiny and florals, some grass. Initial is lighter of the fold, touches of richer bitter earth, florals, and good bitterness. Richly bitter, a good carbonation up front, rich dryness, gentle toastiness and gentle bready. Gentle toast, kiss of biscuit, gentle lemons. Some richer bitterness, good session quality. Lemons, rich florals, grass. Good drinking session Bitter. Great bitterness, richly dry, touch of toast and bitterness, some bready malts, touches of toast, kiss of lemon and citrus. Damn good beer. Get at this, Chicago!
