Rock Bottom Cincinnati Crosley Field Pale Ale

Draft @ Cincy brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma has light citrus, light grassy hop bitterness, and pale malt. The flavor opens with some hoppy bitterness which gives way to a more malty finish. Not bad, but underwhelming.

Draft at brewpub. Amber body, medium head, moderate hops in the nose. Fairly hoppy, with a clean malt backbone. Fairly typical example, very drinkable.

Part of the 6 beer sampler, pours a very nice deep amber color. Aroma is not too strong, citrusy hops and malt. The bitterness of the hops are immediately represented, but I would have liked to see a little more since the finish is very malty for a pale ale. A good beer, but in my opinion the balance is a little off.

Pours amber in color with a nice inch of head on top. Smell is mostly malt, but there are some grassy hops to be found lingering underneath.
Taste is crisp, and clean, but not a whole lotta hops to make this a winner. Decent, not a great choice.

On draft at the brewpub. Thin, yellow, and fizzy. That’s not fair, though. This is worlds away from Budweiser. For one, the toasted malts and dry hops are clear and well balanced. This is a decent, well-hopped pale ale.
