My favorite of the beers at this location. Looks like a Guinness, nice dark color and frothy tan head. Aroma is mostly coffee and some chocolate. Flavor is the same, a great mocha like flavor. Body was smooth, a little more body would make this an excellent beer, otherwise a great beer.

Sep 8, 2008 Almost black creamy thick looking pour. Coffe with a hint of chocolate. Flavor of bitter chocolate. Very thin. Really lacks character and flavor. A beer that looked better than it tasted and smelled.

Aug 2, 2008 Draft @ Cincy brewpub. Pours dark brown with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is much of the same: chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. The flavor is a bit weaker than the nose would indicate and it is a bit thin for a stout. It is, however, one of the better beers at this location. I think this is the special seasonal year round.

Mar 31, 2008 This was hte second worst beer from the rock bottom sampler. A very sub-par example of a dry stout. The aroma was nice and standard for a stout. Coffee, Chocolate and some roasted malts. When I took a swig I was wondering what happened to all that flavor. I was left with a shell of a stout that was too watery to be considered a stout and too flavorless to be considered a quality pale ale. I felt as if I were drinking a fake stout.

Dec 20, 2007 Pours a very dark brown with a nice half inch head. Smell and taste is predominantly coffee. This is nice. Full and nice in the mouthfeel. The best Rock Bottom beer of the day.
