Draft at the brewpub. That’s two of us who have rated this in the past month- any way to un-retire it? Pours a dark brown with a small but resilient tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, brown sugar, coffee, and oatmeal. Flavor improves upon that, with roasted malts, oatmeal, coffee, cocoa powder, and some earthy hop bitterness. More roasty and bitter than sweet. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Still lighter in body than I would have liked. Roasty, bitter finish. Pretty good beer.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 RKanis (152) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 21, 2010
This my favorite beer I’ve had at Rock Bottom. Pours dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma is of sweet oatmeal, malt and alcohol. Taste is of sweet oatmeal with toasted malt. Nice finish with a sweet lingering oatmeal taste. Very good.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ewestern (254) - Ohio, USA - SEP 6, 2008
Aroma was sweet slightly roasted malts but somewhat weak. The appearance was incredible. Dark brown color with a frothy creamy light brown head. Head lasted until the end and left really good lacing. Medium body and slightly watered down palate carried a flavor of caramel and coffee that would have been better if not for the watery feel to it. Finished with a nice coffee bitterness. Definitely could have been better.

Draft @ RB Cinci. Dark brown color with a medium head and malty aroma htat had some light grain and chocolate. Flavor is a bit bland - roasty malts and some coffee/chocolate. Not bad, just could have been better.
