Draft at the brewpub before the tapping of the Liquid Sun Belgian Tripel in December 2009. Pours a clear dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, roasted malts, brown sugar, and nuts. The flavor follows suit well, a nice smooth balance of roasty and sweet flavors. Light-medium bodied, with minimal carbonation and nice vanilla bean aftertaste. This was on nitro when I had it and will be on cask to finish 2009, and hopefully it lasts longer. ABV unknown- I asked 3 people and none knew (Mitch was busy), so I gave up- but I’d safely guess between 5.5% and 7%.
