3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Rock Bottom. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt, vanilla, light fruits and toasted bread. The flavor offers even more in the way of vanilla, sweet caramel, fruits and toasted bread with a hint of wood. Decent enough, but suffered behind the imperial mocha stout.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Rock Bottom Cincinnati, I had places to go so I opted for the 10oz snifter. Mostly clear dark red / brown color. Some bubbles on the side of the glass. Good khaki head. Little loose lace. Nice smooth lighter carbonation. Medium to bigger body. More dry texture. Some chocolate. Little vanilla. Mostly malty but with a good mild earth spicy hop profile. Solid, well-balanced scotch ale.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample. Poured dark clear brown color with an creamy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Solid complex sweet malt and vanilla aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Solid vanilla sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Very good complex brew.
