Sampler at the Rock Bottom Westminister on 9/27/2012. This Kolsch pours a light gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal, fruity and sweet. A light to medium bodied Kolsch. The malts are fruity and cereal. The hops are earthy and slightly spicy. Good carbonation. Nice balance, A little crisp tasting, but no off flavors. On tap at Rock Bottom in DIA. Insanely expensive. Pours golden with a fizzy white head. Aroma is of lemon, wheat, and that’s about it. Taste has a little wheat and some slight lemon. Nothing to this beer. Like drinknig water with a little lemon. Not good.

BMan1113VR (7858) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 20, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Labeled simply as "Kolsch". Pours with a crystal clear golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are bready, grainy and lightly grassy. A hint of ester. Flavors are bready, biscuity, clean and lightly grassy. Nice and delicate malt character. Medium bubbles and body. A pretty outstanding American Rendition of a Kolsch. Shockingly good.
