Pours a rich dark semi-transparent brown with a beige head. Aroma is strong and malty and has hints of caramel and coffee, almost like a stout or porter. Flavor is malty with some hops and a strong caramel component and more than a trace of smokiness. Texture is smooth but sassy.

boring and forgetable brew. contains alcohol, hard to drink, not much else to talk about.

Draft @ DIA. Dark brown, somewhat cloudy, unfiltered, with a tan head. Decent nose of toasted grains, some chocolate malt, even some roast... notes of bready chocolate, charred toast, etc. Body is medium to light, dissolves on the back. Minimally astringent. Good presentation of roast for a brown ale, some charred bread, some cracked barley, cereal grains, etc. Nice enough for a brown ale.

On tap at Rock Bottom DIA. The body was dark brown with a khaki colored head. The aroma was malty with some chocolate hints. The taste was milk chocolate with some peanuts. There was also some toasted walnut. this was decent.

Sampled in denver. This brew was alright. It was refreshing on a hot day. It was quite clear and light brown. No head. A decent finish but it could use some help.
