robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Aug 9, 2004 Minnapolis: Red Coloring. Small Head. Some Malts. Little Bitter. Pretty Decent...Average, Not Real Distinctive But Easy Enough to Drink. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Jun 30, 2004 Sampled at the Chicago location. Clear red with a small, off-white and mostly diminishing head. Good lacing. Light molasses aroma, with some light pine and grapefruity hops intermixed. Lightly bitter flavor, with a lightly acidic finish. Medium bodied and slightly oily on the palate. garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2003 There was a "Rock Bottom Brewery" in downtown Cincinnati where I tried this stuff... I found it to be very ordinary microbrew stuff, tastey but not really memorable. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 9, 2003 Tap, Chicago. Beautiful cascade aroma. Nice caramelly malt flavor with some depth. Fairly estery. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA Jul 18, 2003 Nice color, decent malt taste, aroma of Cascades throws the balance a bit. Sweetness lingers. A good beer but not a remarkable beer in any way. DrnkMcDermott (1832), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Jun 25, 2003 Draft, downtown Chicago I joked with the server whether their brewmaster would be competing with 3 Floyds and Flossmoor Station for the hoppiest ale around, but the answer is obviously no. I really can't find fault with it, just nothing to stir the imagination. They claim it's their hoppiest regualr beer, and there is a nice hop nose to it. Nuffield (2718), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Dec 22, 2002 Flavor like kids’ chewable vitamins. Light hop profile with decent malt balance. (at Minneapolis location) austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA Dec 4, 2002 More of a dark than a red. What IS a red anyway? Lots of Cascade hops assault the drinker like Erik the Red once did with his Norse Viking armies. A bit overwhelming and amber-ish.
