Commercial Description:
We use real oatmeal to make this big-bodied traditional stout. Creamy, dark, malty and roasty, it is perfect with a tenderloin or a chocolate dessert, or perhaps as a dessert by itself.

Had this one when it was the java stout, and I was surprised. Nice aroma, full of coffee and cream. Beer is dark and solid, not much head or lacing. Palate is watery, but a nice java flavor. Nice notes of barley and oats as well. Not a lot of stuff going on in this one, but what is there is good. Not too bad actually, like a watery version of Bells Java Stout. Grabbed a growler of this and wasn’t let down.

Out of the sampler at the College Park pub. Dark beer with reddish highlights when held against the light. Lasting foamy beige head. Lightly toasted grain nose. Smooth beer with faint chocolate, coffee and a long roasted bitter finish. Seemed to be a lactic acidity in there.

Had this at a festival where it was only identified as "Oatmeal Stout." Not a bad pour, a deep, dark brown with a thick, creamy - almost too creamy - beige head. The aroma seemed somewhat muted, a roasted malt & barley, a hint of coffee, maybe some chocolate. All were more pronounced in the flavor, the dry roastiness to the point it seemed more like an Irish Stout. Not too bad.

Draft at downtown location. Small tan head that was mostly lasting, fair amount of lacing, opaque, and a dark brown hue. The nose was malty, roasty, semi-sweet, and a hint of chocolate. The flavor was semi-sweet, roasty, malty, creamy, and thin. The mouthfeel was smooth and thin. Light in body. Quaffable, worthy of try and I would have this one again.

black, frothy tan head, lots of scattered lace, light roasted aroma with a hint of sweetness, creamy oily oatmeal body, rich oatmeal and roasted flavor goes well with the creamy body, touch of dark chocolate,
