Rock Bottom King of Prussia Broad Street Barleywine

On tap at the 2007 GABF: Pours a transparent light copper bronze with a frothy, well-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and some light fruity esters. Body starts fairly thick with some sticky sweet light caramel maltiness balanced with light fruity complexity toward a slightly warming, sweet finish. Has mild citrusy bittering hops throughout. A nice weizenbock.

GABF 2006: Clear amber color with an off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma with notes of sugar and cherries. Some citrus hop comes through the malt. Thick sweet malty flavor. Seems to be English style which is my favorite. Nice warmth in the chest. This should be bottled.

Poured a hazy, reddish amber color witha medium sized, light tan head, that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of cocoa, dried fruits, tons of malt, toffee and caramel, with light citrus hops, and a bit of oxidation as well. Taste of more malts, caramel, toffee, dark fruits, light citrus, with some tangerine, cocoa, with a low hop profile, and faint alcohol. Very low carbonation.

On tap at the KoP location. Poured a dark and cloudy brownish color with a small sized tan head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruits, light alcohol and I also got some smoky and woodiness to it. Tastes of toffee, caramel, dark fruits and vanilla. Stronger alcohol bite in the finish.
