BrewManHere (9), Pennsylvania, USA does not count Nov 17, 2007 One of their best and one of my all time favorite beers. Coffee flavor is pretty strong. This beer is similar to Guiness in style but tastes better. cheapdark (1526), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2007 On tap at the Rock Bottom in Pittsburgh, here it is simply called Rock Bottom Irish Stout. Beautiful rolling show for a pour. Big foamy head like chocolate mousse. Stouty and porter aroma, sweet and rather attractive, very intense, even has some spiciness in there. Pitch black in appearance. Very low carbonation is sensed on the initial taste. This stuff is a very good imitation of the English stouts I’ve had from the widget cans. Some light bitter back of throat bite, but it is not excessive. Something like Barre Knuckles. I don’t car e much for the fizzless black stouts but this is just like its style. whaleman (2168), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2007 Dublin Dragon Stout. Creamy, beige nitro head on a deep brown body. Sweet dark chocolate aroma, plus medium roast. Very chocolately flavor; mostly dry with emergent bitter roastiness and light acidity. A solid rendition of a lame and boring style.
Ty5592 (1002), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 29, 2006 Tap. Very good stout if you are a dry stout guy. Black with creamy tan head. Good roasted coffee flavor. Smooth with slick mouthful. Very good lacing. Nice dry finish. JB175 (1274), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 27, 2006 Nice dark pour with medium head. Smooth chocolate-espresso aroma. Roasty chocolate, toasted malt flavor that is highly drinkable. Nice job by Rock Bottom on this one.
