DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2006 Draft at KOP. Nice aroma on this, with a lot of the holy wit trifecta of Bazooka, banana, and clove, residing in a turbid pale yellow pour. The palate was medium, smooth, and flavorful, with the solid notes of banana, Bazooka, and clove, plus a fruity finish. Well done! weeare138 (924), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 8, 2006 Appears a hazy cloud of light yellow that doesn’t allow light to pass. A small white head slowly fades out and leaves gentle lacing along the glass.
Smell is of crisp, cracked wheat with plenty of coriander, orange peel, and grains of paradise.
Taste is of the same aromas with a light, citrusy crispness that compliments the spicing and mild yeastiness.
Moutheel is medium bodied, crisp, mildly sweet and tart, along with a spiced, semi-dry finish. The only complaint is that halfway through the pint, there seems to be an off, corn like presence that lingers along the palate. Not that noticeable but it’s there.
The girls sitting beside me were all drinking this with a lemon wedge...say it aint so! TomDecapolis (2474), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA May 27, 2006 On tap at the KOP location listed as the Kings Wit at 5.3% alcohol. They have a new brewer there but I wasn’t sure if this was enough to make it a new brew or not. Pours a milky golden yellow with an average creamy white lacing head. Aroma of lemon peel, light Belgian spices, coriander and wheat. Flavor of banana, clove, wheat, coriander, slightly tingly carbonation yet smooth and refreshing. Nice Wit! hopdog (4645), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 28, 2005 On tap at the KoP, PA location. Poured a lighter and hazy/cloudy yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of stronger spices, and citrus. Tastes of lesser spices, lemons, and light wheat. Lacing left on the glass. As I find with this style, thin to my liking.
