A simply-flavored beer, little hop character, but deep nutty malt taste. Refreshingly smooth, and good with bready food like pizza or pretzels. Had it in RB La Jolla.

Nice nutty nose, some what wine flavor similar to newcastle. Slght rough roast on end. Not bad

on draft at brewery, consumed on 11/12/07. Very dark brown, utterly clear. No active carbonation, almost no head. No aroma. Typical brown ale (Newcastle) flavor. Malty and sweet flavors mask any hops that might be there. One dimensional.

On tap @ La Jolla location - Pours a clear brown color with red edges and a small light tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma and flavor is toasted caramel malt. Smooth palate. Medium body. A decent Brown.

Best so far on the sampler. the tiniest bit of alcohol is tastable with awesome drinkability despite it. The reggae music and beautiful weather don’t hurt either.
