Sep 10, 2008 On tap. Poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Flavor of caramel and a slight floral hop note. A little lacking in my opinion.

May 27, 2008 Dark brown -amber color, with a mild toasted malt nose, with a hint of caramel, faint fruity accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate wit a toasted, caramelized malt character, with a light biscuity, grainy malt accent, with some fruity, raisiny, toffee flavors, a floral hop leafiness accent, leading towards a malt, faint lingering hop bitterness finish.

Mar 23, 2008 On the program at the festival they referred to this as Fire Chief Red Lager, but the RB Milwaukee site says it’s an ale, and I believe the latter. It poured a clear orange/amber body with a a good head that did some slippery lacing. The nose was sweet and worty with a touch of earthy bitterness. JPDIPSO (4288), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
Oct 26, 2007 (Milwaukee - 5/7/07) Amber to copper color with a small wispy white head. Toasted malt, caramel, fresh dough and a hint of citric hops. Very light nose. LIght sweet toasted malt and touch of dark candi. A few grains seem to float about, but a very light amber in any book.
