hazy gold, not much head, lacy. wheaty nose, trace of banana. flavor og grain and banana. medium bodied, banana finish. the banana definitely fades as the beer warms, but overall, not an impressive beer. sampled at rockfest 2010.

On draught at the Rock Bottom brewpub in downtown Milwaukee, WI as White Tail Pale Ale. Pours a clear light copper colored brew with a creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of both citrus and floral hops, golden and caramel malt, a hint of grapefruit and toffee. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of caramel malt, citrus and floral hops with a hint of dark pitted fruit. Finish is semi-dry and has a mild bitterness that quickly disappears.

Had on tap at the place. Decent, but lacking the citrus they claim, and not much of a pale ale, even for the American style.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 holdenn (2023) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 25, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Very little aroma of pale malts and barely a floral hop note. Lemon citrus, pale malt flavors that are lightly sweet with a floral hop poking out in the finish. Nothing bad, but pretty mediocre. I’ll be trying something else next time.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rederic (2564) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 23, 2008
Amber color, with a white head, light honeyed pale malt, with a mild floral hop leafy note, wiht a hint of citrusy in the aroma follows through on a light-bodied palate, with a sharp citrus, limoney flowery hop character, with a faint toasted, caramel malt accent leading towards a lingering hop bitterness finish

Cloudy dark amber with a frothy head. Aroma is almost un-noticable but a hint of citrus can be detected. Flavor is a nice balance of grapefruit and light caramel malt. Very thin, light palate.
