SuperDave70 (832), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Feb 17, 2008 Sampled at the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild 2008 Strong Beer Fest, on February 17, at the Mesa Amphitheatre. detroiter (957), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA Feb 11, 2007 Pours an almost clear golden amber. Topped by an inch of white foam initially, good head retention and lacing. I get an orange floral aroma.
Flavors of lightly toasted malt, mild dark honey, candi sugar, and a pronounced coriander flavor from the spicy yeast. Medium body, light carbonation. A pleasant warming alcohol character in the finish. badgerben (3160), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jan 3, 2006 Dark gold color with no head. Moderate aroma of corriander and hops. Taste is more subdued than I would have guessed. The wheat and malt are well situated and the corriander is nicely balanced, not dominating the beer. For someone who usually can’t stand the style, I actually liked this one. Pigfoot (2225), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Nov 25, 2005 he name I gave this is quoted directly from the board. Never heard of a "trippel" before, but that’s what they wrote, so...
Partly cloudy golden/peachy hue, with a tight, though solid, milky white head.
Nose is floral and fruity, with tastefully tingly hops, mild, but pleasing.
Clean mouthfeel, with plentiful citric zest to liven the palate. Gets fuller and rounder as we get into it, sweet and slick, but far from cloying. Actually, a very tidy, well-balanced tripel, this.Malt is delicate, but more than adequate, fills in well as ballast and succor. Excellent integration.
A very easy to please rendition, but with enough character to make the critics in the house happy. Anyone can like this one, and that’s always a happy outcome.
Reviewed from notes taken while having my second glass, after being informed that they do not fill growlers of this one.
