3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at brewpub prior to RBSG’07. Pours a clear reddish amber brew wtih an off-white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and ring. Aroma is very light. Hard to pick up light caramel and pitted fruit. Taste is medium bodied, highlty carbonated with a slight toffee aftertaste. Not much hop bitterness.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Airport location. Transparent, sun-blasted red. Crystal malt aroma. Biscuity with mild honeycomb and general blandness. Bitterness of an empty character, tired and musty bread malts, flighty candy sweetness. Smooth, medium-bodied palate with no resonance in the mouth. An inoffensive sum of parts wholly insufficient on their own.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draft... RBSG 07... Beautiful, clear amber lager with a small, fizzy, white head. I’m unable to pull much out of the glass, aroma-wise, except restrained acetaldehyde. The flavor leans just a hair on the sweet side of balance, with sweet Vienna and crystal malts almost equaled by peppery hops. Ethanal rears it’s ugly head atop my palate as well. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Short, crisp, mostly clean finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: hazed, pale crimson color, lush head, nice looking in the mug.
Bright, fruity aroma, rosy and sweet, hints of nut...
...which follows through in the taste, but dark fruits are tops. Apple, melon, grape. Tasty hops dancing on the tongue, a tidy tango, slides off easily. Big, juicy fruit. Medium bodied, clean, efffortlessly easy to zip past your lips.
A pleasantly agreeable, light and tasty lager. Can’t go wrong here.
