Malty body with a light hop finish. grimreeser (687), Minnesota, USA Oct 23, 2007 On tap. Clear amber with a thin head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, some malt as well. Good flavor, solid beer. Skyview (2850), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Oct 6, 2007 Sampled On Cask at the ABR 07 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a semi-hazy orange/golden brew with a decent white head that sticks around. Aroma of bready malt, some grapefruit zest, flowery hops and a touch of peach. Taste is medium bodied, no carbonation, smooth, creamy with a bready and grapefruit flavor. Finish is slightly gritty citrusy with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Did not pick up any oatmeal but still a decent autumn brew. detroiter (957), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA Feb 11, 2007 Golden Harvest pours a hazy gold color, topped by an inch or more (depending upon who’s pouring) of rocky white foam. Decent head retention and good lacing. Hop aroma is floral with some citrus.
Bold tart hop flavor sits on top of a sweet malt base. The hops provide flavors of pine, and fresh grapefruit and lemon peel, with a floral hop presence showing up into the finish. The malt is a fine sweet honeymalt. A little grapefruit pith, some honey flavors, a grainy huskiness (from the oats?), and residual pine are in the aftertaste. The beer is medium bodied and generously carbonated, and quite smooth drinking.
jimmyh221 (157), Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, USA Nov 16, 2005 I liked the appearance of this beer, especially the color. The taste was rich and full.
