Rock Bottom Paranoid IPA. 16 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub. Consumed on 10-7-12. Pours dark brown with a small to moderate amount of thick, long-lasting, lavender/taupe head. Opaque, hazy liquid. Light, dry aroma features lemon, grapefruit, and pine. Muffin malt in the aroma. Pleasant but weak smell. Dry hops dominate the taste to a surprising degree, given the brown appearance. Floral flavor features grapefruit element. Pleasant but forgettable flavor. Vegetal, dry aftertaste. Medium body. Refreshing. Unremarkable but adequate palate effects. Decent but forgettable overall.
