3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
aka Saison Deux Trois. Pours a hazy straw color, topped by a short-lived head of sudsy white foam. A ring provides scant lacing. Wet hay, dog-blanket (as opposed to horse blanket), and lemongrass in the aroma.
The malt is sweet and dry at the same time - sweet honeymalt, dry wheat. Lemongrass and a bit of orange behind these. Lighter body, mild carbonation. I don’t think lemongrass is an actual ingredient, but I detect a lemongrass-like flavor and aroma. I am not a fan of lemongrass.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Just called Saison and listed at 6.4% abv. The body was medium gold with a bright white head. The aroma was sweet bubblegum and banana with some cinnamon. The taste was bananas and clove. There was also some hay. Just a big bowl of ok.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had one tonight in the mug club vessel, though I heard one server say it is officially served in "the gay glass"...and here I pour into a pint glass for this assessment.
Looks nice, chalk white foam stands tall in the glass, leaving lace, very hazed, pale orange appearance...very nice.
Citrus, spice, straw, and a stick of bubblegum mark the nose. Lively and delightful. Again, I find myself liking it.
Soft on the palate, then sweet and mellow, revealing slices of lemon and whiffs of orange, with a tangy yeasty kick. Citrus feels sharp later on, with a peppery twist. Lays long, but lightly, on the tongue. Loaded with character, brimming with fine flavor.
A very agreeable saison, tasty, well-made, not lacking in any way that I can consider. A must-try treat at the pub right now. Well done!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
For three years in a row, Rock Bottom has done a respectable Saison for the Autumn Beer Review. This beer is bitter and spicy, some wheat. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Light barnyard aroma, some yeast, and a little bit sour.
